Yummy Fall Treats

Hi mama’s,

Since it is officially October we thought we would share these super yummy fall treats that we have made over the last two weeks. Astrid (Stella’s daughter) is now old enough to be able to do these fun projects with us. These treats are NOT our original ideas, find the links to the recipes below!

Our first fall treat we made was a pumpkin patch pudding cup. This was such a delicious treat! What you need is: chocolate pudding, Oreo's, mellow creme pumpkins, green gel, fall leaf sprinkles, craft sticks, and hot glue. First, we made our instant chocolate pudding, and put it in the refrigerator for a little bit to keep chilled. The next step Astrid was a huge help with, we had to crush up our Oreo's, these crushed Oreo's will represent the dirt. Astrid loved eating the Oreo's, as we crushed them up! You want to put the chocolate pudding into little cups, and then put those crushed Oreo's on top! We ended up not putting any green gel on our pumpkin patches, but it would definitely add a nice touch to it. Also, we had super cute fall leaves to add to our pumpkin patches, but Lena totally forgot to bring them, so next time we would definitely remember to add those! Next you want to place the pumpkin candies on top of the crushed Oreo's, we put about three or four on each patch! For our last step, Astrid couldn’t help due to it involving a hot gun. We used three Popsicle sticks, and hot glued them together, and with a black sharpie we wrote pumpkin patch- $1.00. This sign added such a cute touch to our pumpkin patch! Then we sat down and ate our treats. They were so amazing, we were so glad we made a smaller cup for them because they were very sweet!

Last week we did our next fall treat, which were vanilla pudding cookies! The recipe we used called for m&m’s. We wanted to make these cookies more fall themed, so we were hoping to find fall or Halloween themed m&m’s but we were unable to find them. We decided to go with reese's pieces. The colors are orange, yellow and brown, so they ended up being perfect for fall! For these cookies you need: flour, baking soda, vanilla pudding powder, butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and the reese’s pieces. You will combine all the dry ingredients in one bowl. In another bowl you will add all the wet ingredients together. Then combine both the dry, and wet ingredients in a mixing bowl. Then stir in the reese’s pieces.(This step Astrid absolutely loved, she was able to snack on the pieces, as we poured and mixed them in) Roll the dough in balls and place on your cookie sheet, and bake. We baked them for twelve minutes. We all decided that the reese’s pieces made the cookie so delicious, and the cookie seemed like a cake. We highly recommend these cookies, not only were they just delicious, but super easy to make!

Love,

Stella & Lena
